RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)

Is this commercial real? I don’t know if it is public either but obviously the intent is there. I find it interesting that the medical field is the focus of making the RFID chip mainstream. Seems like they are focusing on the weak and vulnerable who are perpetually covered by health insurance.

One reason an RFID chip, in my opinion is a bad idea is that radio frequencies and broadcasts cannot be blocked or turned off. If a person has a hand held reader in close proximity your private information can be lifted from your RFID chip. An RFID chip seems way too easy to hack.
