What exactly is ‘Nouveau Riche’?

The term is french for ‘new rich’ or lesser stated ‘new money’ which mean that an individual acquired great wealth with no help from a previous generation otherwise known as old
money relatives or mentors.

The nouveau riche have sometimes been ostracized as not having proper upbringing or stature to have what it takes to mingle with the old money rich community.
